This means you’re often starting with only three or four ogres, and it can be a long slog to being able to afford the rest. Ogres are also expensive, and you won’t be able to start with a full roster if you want to also have rerolls, which they desperately need. They die in droves, and you will undoubtedly end up outnumbered and having to rely on unreliable players. And while ogres are among the strongest players in the game, snotlings are by far the weakest players in the game. At some point in an ogre coach’s life, you will experience the pain of rolling six boneheads in a single turn. That is, when the ogres don’t all roll bonehead and leave your team defenceless. Ogres are some of the strongest players in the game, with 5 strength, 9 armor, and coming standard with mighty blow, they can put the hurt into their opponents. With a maximum of six ogres on the pitch at once, the ogre team has the largest number of big guys available to anyone, twice as many as the next leader in that category, the chaos pact. Those clever, thieving goblins have been fired and replaced with the lowly snotlings, who are so stupid that they can’t even manage to trick ogres.īecause you’re an ogre achiever.
For the safety of everyone involved, no more than six ogres now occupy the same team, as that’s the maximum that any have ever managed to work together without tearing down a stadium. In the modern era of Blood Bowl, things have changed. And the fact that the goblins were robbing them blind didn’t help things at all. But that many ogres in one place can lead to… problems. Once upon a time, they were able to roster up to 12 ogres on the team, and were even allied with the obviously vastly superior goblins to bring pain and domination to the pitch.
